Mark Oney of EmployeeChannel and Dan Diefendorf of LiveTiles share their stories and explain the reasons they chose to invest in Rochester.

Rochester is enjoying the recognition of its software talent pool by significant, venture-backed companies in major markets, such as San Francisco and New York. In recent years, we have welcomed numerous companies that have established branch offices downtown to ramp up their engineering and customer support capabilities.

This phenomenon is a harbinger of great things to come for the local economy. On Wednesday, September 5th, we will host representatives of two of these companies, Mark Oney of EmployeeChannel and Dan Diefendorf of LiveTiles. Mark is an RIT grad residing in the Bay Area. This is his eighth startup and he chose to establish his software development team in Rochester. Dan is a local resident who helped his NYC-based company open and staff up their facility in High Falls. Our guests will share their stories and explain the reasons they chose to invest in Rochester. Their insights will enlighten and could help to frame our conversation about economic development differently.
