RIT and UR are critical contributors to the region’s innovation economy and are recognized globally as leaders in higher education and research. Attend this event to obtain unusual access…and promote greater connections between those institutions and our community.
On Wednesday, May 8th, we will feature Julia Maddox, Director of iZone, and Jim Hall, Dean of University Studies Division and Executive Director of the School of Individualized Study. iZone is UR’s new collaborative workspace located in its main library, fostering creative problem solving and design thinking. RIT’s SOIS supports students who embrace an innovative and self-guided pathway to their education, aiming to embrace all of the institution’s abundant resources.
Our guests will be interviewed by Alex Zapesochny, publisher of the Rochester Beacon. We start and finish with informal kibitzing over drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
MAGIC Spell Studio has kindly offered a private tour of their facility following the formal programming.
