The 31st annual Rochester Chamber Top 100 list of the fastest-growing privately held businesses in the Finger Lakes region highlights companies that innovate and adapt to change.
SunCommon NY, a solar energy company, Waste Harmonics LLC, which provides refuse management services, and iCardiac Technologies Inc., a company that conducts a range of clinical trials which test the safety or efficacy of in-development medications, ranked as the top three, in that order.
The list reflects a family-owned businesses and firms that began as innovative startups.
“The Rochester Chamber Top 100 list serves as a wonderful example of the Rochester and Finger Lakes region’s positive economic evolution. The leading number of companies on the list came from the service, manufacturing, technology, and construction industries,” said Robert Duffy, Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President and CEO.
The Top 100 list is compiled for the Rochester Chamber by KPMG LLP after analyzing and verifying revenues submitted by local companies. To be eligible for the Rochester Chamber Top 100, businesses must be independent, privately held, headquartered in the nine-county Finger Lakes region, and have revenue of at least $1 million in each of the three most recent fiscal years. The program recognizes Rochester’s reputation as a region of innovation spurred by a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
