Mark Oney of EmployeeChannel and Dan Diefendorf of LiveTiles were featured Sept. 5, 2018 at RocGrowth Candids. Alex Zapesochny conducted the interview.

Oney is a Rochester Institute of Technology graduate residing in the Bay Area. This is his eighth startup, and he chose to establish his software development team in Rochester. Diefendorf is an area resident who helped his NYC-based company open and staff up their facility in High Falls.

Rochester is enjoying the recognition of its software talent pool by significant, venture-backed companies in major markets, such as San Francisco and New York. In recent years, the city has welcomed numerous companies that have established branch offices downtown to ramp up their engineering and customer support capabilities. This phenomenon is a harbinger of great things to come for the local economy.
